In most cases, the fight over books is an effort to regulate access based on age. Hardly anyone says certain books should be banned, although there seems to be a unified effort in the U.S. to block any pro-Russian statements due to the war in The Ukraine. It seems obvious that certain topics and certain activities should be restricted based on age. Politicians seem to have no trouble restricting gun purchases and beer to certain ages. Why not books that are designed to groom children?
