The last time I checked, a state's governor had a perfect right to evaluate high school courses and related materials. The same is true with books purchased with public money. One does not have to be a scholar to evaluate curriculum. It would be helpful to see exactly what Gov. DeSantis rejected and also the new curriculum about to be released in a pilot study. Frankly, the fewer college African American Studies majors, the better. We need more math and chemistry majors.
