There are so many problems associated with public educaiton today that this issue seems rather minor. How can any teacher be expected to handle seven to eight classes a day and do a good job in all of them? Why is an education degree made up of so many time-wasting courses? Why do the major teacher unions oppose so strongly charter and private schools, as well as homeschooling? What is the effect of single motherhood on the success or failure of students? All these important questions need to be explored.
