There is a problem with your argument, as laudable as it is. Science today has been corrupted by mass infusions of government money, so the techs and the peer reviewers and the administrators jump to the tune of money. One must go beyond the headlines and the journal articles to the raw data to learn the truth (as long as the data has not been tampered with).
